Wonderful medium to fine wool, approximately 3 to 4 inch fibers with a lovely even crimp. The rolags are sold by the ounce.
My fleece are from crossbred sheep, bred for softer thicker fleece. Because I purchase a lot of fleece from a local grower that does a lot of cross-breeding, most of my fiber offerings are not from one specific kind of sheep, goat, rabbit, or alpaca. For those of you that need to know the breed from which any fiber comes, my offerings won't be a good fit for you. But, on the other hand, if you are interested in wonderful yarns from all kinds of wonderful animals, you'll have a great time with what I have.
As with any natural fiber, it is impossible to remove every single piece of vegetable matter. They are clean vegetable matter! They also add character to finished products, so, unless the item will be directly against the skin and a little grass seed might cause aggravation to those with sensitive skin, just leave them in.
Rolag: 1 ounce; sheep's wool
My life is in transition; I’m following another set of passions now that I’m retiring from my profession as a hair stylists for the past thirty years. I will miss the beauty business but am really looking forward to moving in other directions.
I absolutely love color … bright color, deep colors, shimmery colors, neutral colors … you name it, color makes my life tingle. As you will notice as you peruse the choices here on Etsy, but also when you visit http://www.endalusianfibers.com, that I play with colors a lot.
I also love texture. I’ve been a seamstress/tailoress for years, spending hours in fabric stores touching fabrics and enjoying all the wonderful array of textures and colors.
I’m combining my love of color and texture in my newest venture: fleece to yarn. I am not a knitter, but I love weaving so many of my yarns are designed with the loom in mind. Some are also being used to make baskets, which you will see appearing on the site shortly. They’re in process …
I invite you to enjoy my entries and hope you will tell your friends when you find something that reminds you of them.
