Hitohada gel is a soft urethane resin for molding. Many use this gel to make squishes since the texture is super soft and stretchy. This listing is for the clear type meaning the end product will be transparent in color. A separate listing will be uploaded for the milky white Hitohada gel. Instructions will be translated in english as this product is from Japan and the instruction are in Japanese. Each box contains the “base resin (50g)” and the “hardening agent (50g)” for a total of 100grams. Please note there is special pigment needed if you are interested in changing the color. How to use: 1.) Scale the “base resin” and the “hardening agent” exactly to the ratio of 3:1.
*If you use a pigment, mix it to the “base resin” beforehand. *The ratio of the “base resin” and the “hardening agent” must be precise. *Too much pigment could prevent coagulation. *Special pigment must be used for this gel DO NOT USE food coloring it will NOT work
2.) Mix the “base resin” and the “hardening agent” completely and evenly with a mixing stick. Be careful not to mix the Hitohada gel with water as it could result in poor hardening.
3.) Blend and pour it into a mold. Usually it takes more than five hours to harden. Time varies and depends on the environmental conditions.
*Recommended mold types: metal, FRP, silicon, or resin. *It is better to pour mixture into mold, after applying mold lubricant, such as vaseline since it may not separate depending on the quality of the mold.
4.) See if the gel is hardened. If so, take it out of the mold.
Should you have trouble with the Hitohada gel, for example it's too sticky, it is recommended that you spray talc powder over the surface or use a “surface coating agent.”
