Item details

One big skein - a whole 500g/1200 metres of 100% British wool, ethically produced and fully traceable in a DK weight. Not superwash treated; spun in the UK from fleece obtained from named farms in the UK and the British Falkland Islands. Obtained from a supplier in East Yorkshire. Perfect for garments! Suitable for knitting and crochet.

Two skeins dyed in the same batch are available.

Hand dyed in East Yorkshire. using professional acid dyes manufactured in South Yorkshire to produce colours that are a delight to work with and to use.

Base: I'm calling this base my Amazonian warrior base as its strong and mighty!

Colourway: Purple rain

500g skein with approx 1300 yards/1200 metres of yarn.

Dyed using professional acid milling dyes. The dyes are fully exhausted in the dye bath then the skeins are washed and rinsed until no colour remains in the rinsing water. However, to keep the colours looking as fresh as possible, hand wash your finished item in lukewarm water using a mild wool wash product with a slightly acid pH. Do not soak. A slight amount of colour bleed may occur in the first few washes so always wash separately.
