We at icandysupplies are very passionate about felting and felting wool, so it is our pleasure to present one of our favorite products - the soft core wool we use! It is great for needle and wet felting, doll making and stuffing toys.
This listing is for 500 g or a little over 1 lb 28 to 30 micron natural core wool which is perfect for 3D needle felting, as it felts easily and helps you create the basic shape quickly.
We have successfully used this core wool for simple wet felting projects such as felt pebbles, dryer balls or simple cat toys.
What this stuffing wool is best for, however, is stuffing Waldorf dolls or handmade soft toys such as bears. You can roll it for limbs, or shape it with needle felting or you can simply tear pieces and stuff your doll.
This natural wool roving also works great for kettle dyeing as it absorbs beautifully acid and natural dyes and can be used for spinning. It is similar to the Corriedale wool in terms of quality and has been sourced locally from Bulgarian mix breed sheep.
You can see on the third picture how much is a ball of 50 g/1.75 oz and a ball of 100 g/3.5 oz., and well, a ball of 1 lb is 10 to 5 times that, so that is a lot of wool.
Thank you for stopping by and check us often, as we are adding new products, kits and tutorials all the time! We would also add some great hand-dyed roving and yarns soon.
