Item details

Bali Mask I is one is a series of 6 Bali Masks Cross Stitch embroidery patterns that I have designed. Each pattern in the series would suit a beginner Cross Stitcher. There are solid blocks of bold colour along with some simple fractional stitches in each design. There is also some simple back stitch which I have used to define the pattern.

The inspiration for these patterns came from a set of 'Swizzle Sticks' that I purchased as souvenirs on a trip to Bali many years ago. I love them for the solid simplicity of the design and the character of each of the faces.

These patterns were originally published in the Cross Stitch Australia Magazine some years ago. My hard copy edition of that magazine is in a 'safe place somewhere :). When I find that 'safe lace', I will update the details of the edition here. From memory, in Cross Stitch Australia, there were published in 2 sizes, what I think of as 'Full Size' and 'Half Size'.

Each of the patterns in this series available on my Etsy shop is the 'Full Size' version. Each pattern finished and framed would suit being displayed on a bookshelf, desk, on top of a piano or as a feature set on a wall. The exact finished size of the stitching varies from design to design and will also vary depending on the 'count' of the fabric you use. The exact size of the stitched design in three different 'counts' of fabric is shown on the 'Key' image.

Instructions for completing Cross Stitch are included with each pattern.

Please be aware you are purchasing and a Cross Stitch pattern along with Cross Stitch instructions to complete the embroidery yourself. You are not purchasing a completed item. Framing shown in photograph is to give you an idea of what the completed design will look like finished and framed.

FAQs

As all the products I sell on Etsy are digital and immediately downloadable on completion of the order, you have already received the product. Whilst every effort is made to ensure products provided are as described, I am a ‘real person’ and errors may inadvertently creep in :( Should this occur, I am more than happy to provide a refund or, off course, the correct product as described 😊👍 However, I am not able to provide refunds or exchanges if you simply change your mind.

This is a standard clause with Shop Policies provided by Etsy. Unfortunately, I am unable to amend or delete this item.

That's a tricky question to answer. The short answer is that they are as true as I can possibly make them given the number of variables involved in getting through all the various stages to the end product of a pattern in my Etsy store for sale :) Thread colours from the various thread manufacturers are 'imported' into various embroidery software design programmes via ways that I am not familiar with. I use various programmes to create my patterns and may move patterns between programmes for various reasons. Colour calibration for each brand of monitor, laptop, iDevice etc will vary. Then there is the lighting of where it is being viewed along with the variation of the perception of colour by us as individuals. Lots of variables in there:)
