This is a fabulous example of French Sewing and Homemaking Skills taught in school in the first half of the 1900's. Meticulously hand-drawn patterns of baby's and children's clothing complete with dimensions and instructions for sewing and pattern making. In French. Includes some nicely rendered cutouts of children's clothing.

Booklet is labeled "Cahier de Dessin" or Drawing Booklet in English. The booklet is covered with a light blue homemade book cover to protect the contents. Inside cover, title page has the word "Coupe" or Cutting (snipping, trimming, pattern cutting out). Detailed instructions for how to make each piece of clothing with dimensions in centimeters using the metric system. Precise measurements.

Rompers for a baby
Shorts for a boy aged 3-5 years.
Cape for a child aged 2-4 years.
Child's dress
Sleeve for a child aged 6.

All original and in good condition. There are a few dark spots on some pages as can be seen in photograph and some bent corners. Pages are complete and without tears. No rips. No missing pages. Unusual and uncommon for paper ephemera like this to be in such good condition after many years. Perhaps this booklet was kept in a trunk or box for safe keeping. Personal memorabilia.

Booklet measures: 12" x 9.5". Approximately one half the booklet is filled. The remaining half is blank.
