Skill level: beginner to advanced.

A long-anticipated new tutorial explaining how to use your own hand-made Wonder Stamps for two more polymer clay techniques: Mokume Gane and Faux Carving.

While Mokume Gane for polymer clay is a well-known technique, the use of Wonder Stamps brings it to the new level. Following this tutorial, you will be able to create elaborate unique mokume gane designs, in an easy and controlled manner. No more dependence on commercially-available stamps and no more awkward blade bending!

As for the Faux Carving, this is my own technique, first described in a “Fall Leaf Pendants” tutorial ( Wonder Stamps greatly expand the possibilities for this technique, because you are no longer limited by simple and time-consuming single cuts done by hand.

The example project in this tutorial is a two-sided necklace with framed lentil beads. One side of each bead is made using Mokume Gane, and the other – Faux Carving technique. There is a simple but effective trick to keep the lentil beads from flipping over when you are wearing a necklace like this, and I explain the trick in this tutorial.

This tutorial is written in a new format; it contains 19 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions illustrated by nearly 50 big full-color pictures.

A comprehensive list of tools and materials for this project and the best places to buy them are also provided, as always.
PLEASE NOTE: To complete this project, you will need at least one Wonder Stamp. Instructions for making these stamps can be found in a separate tutorial:

The tutorial in this listing does not explain how to make the Wonder Stamps; only how to use them for Mokume Gane and Faux Carving techniques.

For a limited time only, I am offering for sale a few of my own Wonder Stamps:

While supplies last, you may also find in my shop the concave metal forms used to shape lentil beads and a few sets of metal rings for making the framed beads described in this tutorial:

My tutorials are non-refundable items, so please ask any questions you have before buying. I will be happy to answer them.

I hope you will enjoy this tutorial and find many uses for this original technique in many of your future creations. I also hope that you will understand how much work went into this tutorial and will respect my copyright.
