How did I get this pattern? In the early 1970s I knew a man who owned a fabric store since the 1930s. He was closing his business and wanted to know if I was interested in a box of 1930s patterns he had in the basement for 40 years. I saved them for another 40 years. 80 years have passed.
ORIGINAL 1936 pattern, NOT a digital copy nor a reproduction. A collector's item for lovers of fashion history. Valuable for the beautiful fashion illustration alone and will continue to increase in value with time. Beautiful sleeve and skirt details. Great design inspiration.
At the time of this posting, this McCall pattern does not appear for sale in authentic, original, never used condition anywhere on the internet attesting to its rarity. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND LEFT. IT IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WAS IN THIS STASH.
The envelope is in better condition than most of this age; it has some discoloration, creases in corners, a teeny tiny vertical tear top center rear of the envelope. The pattern is complete with no damage, instructions are intact.
If you intend to use the pattern, and this is not your size, there are various resizing websites to help you get a perfect fit.
