Referred to as tatting...this artistic skill was & still is a labor of love that has been done for centuries. Tatting turns an ordinary item into something very special. There are many patterns too, just as there are in lace making & there are many vintage magazines that teach those who wish to try. This wonderful "work in process" tatted lace example is over 3 feet long & is in excellent condition. Its ivory colored celluloid tatting shuttle still dangles from where its previous owner left off & that too is in excellent condition. Although not completed, it is intricate, extremely detailed & is lovely just as it is...

As can be expected with age, there may be imperfections, flaws, or some other type of mark or damage. All items are sold to the buyer with this in mind & cannot be returned/exchanged unless gross neglect was made by the seller in the items description in the original listing.
