Pendant rustic raku glaze, turquoise, green, fabric texture, matte grey, handcrafted unique piece I used to create this unique ceramic pendant, raku technique. Raku is a technique of firing and smoking in Japan since the 16th century.
I am inspired by aquatic poetic atmosphere: subtle nuances blue and turquoise enamel abstract painted in watercolors, for decor. The glazed area contrasts with the top grey matte, inspired by a textile world.
Subtle crazing through the shiny glaze. The pendant is Smokey gray on the top as well as on the back. Hole is purposely off center for dynamic oblique composition.
Earth used: white chamotte stoneware
Dimensions -57 x 27 mm -approximately 3.5 mm thick -diameter 4 mm hole -weight 9 grams
