As a huge nature lover, I love to bring nature indoors to
decorate. Being a lace maker for many years, I was always
looking for new ways of reinventing lace. I love creating
unique items and trying to make my imagination come to
life through my work. I usually have a picture in my mind
as to what I want each lace stone to look like and then
work on the piece until it matches my vision. Each creation
is its own unique challenge, because each stone is so
different. It is the stones themselves that inspire my work.
I have found that these crocheted lace stones are so much
fun to create and each one takes on a look and personality
of its own. I’d like to say my dreams are filled with
memories of loved ones, sounds of nature, animals and
beautiful scenery, but my dreams are mostly filled with
original crochet patterns, designs, shapes, and colors. It
has now become an obsession of mine to create these and
I find myself secretly looking for stones everywhere that
have "Lace Stone" potential.
