So you've purchased one of my Interchangeable Whorl Tibetan support spindles, or are contemplating buying one, and would like a second or third (or fourth...) shaft to go with your whorl. Well, here it is!
And since not all spinners have the same preference in flicking tip styles, you can indicate which type you'd like, whether flared, thinner, or thicker. The second picture above features the most popular styles. Just let me know which type you'd like!
Also, please indicate the desired length of your shaft. Generally, they are about 11'' / 28 cm, but I can make yours shorter (8 3/4-9" / 22-23 cm) for a purse-sized spindle.
Finally, let me know if you would like light or dark wood and I will work with what's available. If you do want a specific type of wood, I will do my best to accommodate your preference. But, sometimes certain woods are not available. I will confirm the wood type with you before I begin work. Black walnut, maple, cherry, orange osage, and hickory are usually available.
All my Interchangeable Whorl System shafts and whorls are, well, interchangeable with each other!
This interchangeable shaft, like all of my offerings, is finished with my very own homemade beeswax finish, which is not only durable and eco-friendly, but also allows the natural beauty of the wood to shine through.
I use sustainable hardwoods from a local, small, family run mill.
Thank you for stopping by my shop! If you have any questions, please convo me!
Communication with John was clear, quick and easy. The shaft for the spindle I ordered is exactly what I wanted and I love it! I enjoyed the attention to packaging, colorful and cute! Compared to other spindlemakers, John's Certificate of Authenticity for his work exceeded my expectations and delighted me!
