Each Skein of Lake Michigan Sock normally sells for 26.00 each, but this kit and there is only one, is 2 skeins, for only 48.00, a $4.00 savings. Please combine with an offer if you have one. There is no additional shipping for these two scrumptious skeins. I will be dyeing them up for myself, after Halloween, so I can play too. Project pictures and this limited edition will go away until next year! I am sorry, but I cannot accept custom orders for holiday colorways.

A strong, yet incredibly soft 2 ply yarn with some nylon for strength. The stitch definition with this yarn is incredible. On size 1-1.75 needle this make cozy socks, with larger needles you can make a shawl, mitts, do colorwork, scarves, fingering weight sweaters, anything that calls for fingering weight is a good fit for this yarn. It has a nice hand, and the 2 plies plump nicely when washed. This is our go-to sock yarn around here and will be for years to come.

-About the Colorway

Stolen Soul's

One of our employees and son as well, is really into vampires. Not the sparkly kind, that’s another kid, but the Buffy the Vampire Slayer lore. He took one look at this colorway and thus it was named. Stolen Soul’s, so creepy, but so fun too! Not to mention the color. Lush layers of grey, washed over and over with different depths and shades to produce this incredible, neutral, but with shadow and depth, grey that is truly a stunning semi-solid colorway. To add to the beauty there are tiny pops of red color specks, every now and then, where the last dye broke perfectly to give this a one-of-a-kind, hand created colorway. The kind of grey you might have stolen right out of your knitting bag. That would be a true stolen soul.

We use professional acid dyes in our in-home dye studio. The bright colors will last, I suggest washing by hand and drying flat. Most colorways do not stripe, or pool, however some do and we will always note that, when it does.

Note: I understand the desire to see a knit sample and I am knitting as fast as I can, I promise (when I'm not dyeing, re-skeining, or dealing with kids, cats and a dog). If you knit, or crochet and would like a 20% discount on your next order, please send me a photo of your finished object. I can only accept photos that are clear, and only use Liedel Fiber Art Yarn. While no one is as exacting as my mom was when she knit, we would like a photo that shows good work, not perfect, good is good enough! Just convo me for more details.

One of the wonderful things about artisanal dyeing is like the proverbial snowflake, no two are exactly alike. If you wish to order more than one skein, please alternate skeins to assure a picture perfect finished project.

The base yarn, Lake Michigan Sock, is soft superwash merino, 80%, with 20% nylon for strength in Two plies.

-Two Ply Fingering Weight Yarn

- 80% Superwash Merino, 20% Nylon

- Approximately 400 yards, in a 100 gram skein

- More than enough yardage for a pair of socks, or small shawl.

- All Yarn is Re-Skeined to ensure no knots, or tangles.

- Cat friendly home, non-smoking environment. If you have a serious cat allergy, please let us know. We will do everything possible to make sure you do not get yarn with as little as possible contact with cat dander. We work hard to make sure the cats never come in contact with the yarn, but we make extra sure for people with allergies. We also have a Goldendoodle, but he is not an allergy risk for most people. He is also NEVER allowed around the yarn. Not since he pulled a Brioche shawl that was all but complete off the needles.

Additional policies

Our aim is to deliver delight. All colorways are photographed to the best possible match. Monitors can change things and different dye lots will affect the color. As with all hand-dyed products some variations may occur. Please let us know if this lot is not what you are expecting. We will try our best to match your expectations. We do look at the photos on two monitors and in different browsers so every photo is as honest as possible.
