MARB-041 Marble Quantity in lot: 11" strand (approx 28 beads) Shape: Flat square Average size: 8mm
Because the natural patterns of this type of stone can vary greatly, we list some beads separately so our customers know exactly what the pieces they order look like. The photos shown here are of the actual item for this listing.
Marble is an extremely popular stone that was first prized for its use in statues. It comes in an amazing variety of different colors, most of which have the classic veining or "marbling".
We carry gemstone and stone beads in a very wide range of varieties, everything from Agate to Zebra Stone. We also have a selection of beautiful gemstone pendants and have started carrying finished necklace chains and other jewelry findings too. Please note that photos are representative only and the beads you receive may not be exactly the ones shown in photos unless otherwise noted in the item description. More information about our beads can be found in our FAQ on our Policies Page.

Q: Are the photos of the exact items on the listing?
A: Not always. If the photos are of the exact item, we'll list that in the description, but often we get multiple strands of the same bead types.
Usually we'll list individual pendants and focals separately because the natural stone patterns do vary greatly and we know how disappointing it can be to find the perfect centerpiece for your creation and not receive the exact same one as pictured.
Q: The shipping seems a little high for just a few beads. Why do you charge so much?
A: Natural beads tend to be fragile, so we ship them in packaging that prevents scratches and other mishaps. The weight of this protective packaging does add to the shipping cost, but we figured that was better than just tossing stones into an envelope and having disappointed customers if they get banged up in transit. Whenever possible, we also ship packages with tracking.
Q: Why do you break up some strands into lots?
A: There are few reasons, actually. First of all, we've found that many of our customers like to get "more bang for their buck" by being able to buy smaller amounts of many different types of stones rather than a full strand of just one. Secondly, it allows us to give an accurate bead count instead of the guessing games of trying to figure out how many 2mm beads are on a 16-inch strand. And lastly, we can also pick out any broken or inferior quality stones on a strand.
Q: Why aren't all your beads listed as being Grade-A quality?
A: We have a "No Bull" approach when it comes to the gemstone beads we sell. Some of our beads are not the quality you'd find in high-end designer jewelry and we're not going to claim otherwise. We've known some dealers who will slap a couple "A"s on gemstone descriptions to make them more appealing, but we'd rather not disappoint our customers like that. Even if the gems that come in are marked "AAA" and we have any reason to raise an eyebrow, we won't mark them as being such high quality here.
Q: Where do your beads come from?
A: We purchase mostly from gemstone dealers, private sellers, and businesses that have a surplus. Sometimes we get gemstones from broken jewelry pieces too.
