Azalea japonica "S. Maria". Old will vary of azalea Kaempferi from exterior very resistant. Numerous simple flowers, medium size, 2 ", intense red tending to orange. Light green leaves, create contrast with the red of the flowers. Medium-early flowering, in April in my garden. A beautiful red azalea from the background or hedge, but remarkable though isolated in a vase. Grows fast and hassle-free. Suitable for the formation of bonsai.
The plants are part of a personal collection, for hobby and great passion in time selected, multiplied and cultivated by me under shady network outdoors, without forcing. The name and characteristics refer to the classification of Prof. Fred C. Galle in the book "Azaleas" Oregon. The photos of the flower and potted plants are of my mother plant and of the plants put on sale.
The seedlings are shipped with a ground bread corresponding to vessel 15, with a crown diameter of 18 cm. Having a well-rooted plate can be transplanted at any time.
Please note: In Autumn and winter, the seedlings can appear with yellow or red leaves or partly deleafed in the lower part of the branch. These are not diseases, but only a reaction to the cold: in spring they will resume their color and natural growth.
