A horn button from the 1940s with an intricately carved image of a stag. These kinds of natural deer buttons were traditionally applied to dresses such as Dirndl or hunting jackets in the Austrian Alpine mountain regions (think of Heidi or the Sound of Music movie). The button is in excellent vintage condition and would look great with jeans, leather, natural wool and linen. Also excellent for sewing, craft or knitting projects. It’s best to wash this type of button by hand and use gentle detergents.
100% customer satisfaction is my goal but please note: the items in my shop are vintage and handmade which means they show light wear or imperfection. EVEN IN EXCELLENT CONDITION ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE ITEMS WILL SHOW SOME SIGNS OF WEAR AND USAGE. THEY ARE NOT NEW BUT HAVE BEEN OWNED AND LOVED BY SOMEONE ELSE BEFORE YOU WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY THEY ARE SO CHARMING AND SPECIAL. The colors shown can vary depending on your computer. I will try to give detailed descriptions and detailed photos, but if you are unsure, please contact me. I will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.
All vintage items should be treated with utmost care when cleaning. I recommend doing a bit of research before attempting to use over the counter jewelry cleaners as they could damage vintage items.
