This 9-page pdf pattern is for a knitted scarf with a cabled pattern on both the front and back. The scarf has a Saxon Braid cable on one side, and a slightly different cable on the other. This pattern is a result of a series of experiments with reversible cables, and of an “a-ha!” moment after much playing around. I have not seen another reversible cable pattern quite like it (Of course, some knitter somewhere has undoubtedly discovered this before me!!). The center photo shows the Saxon Braid cabled side on the right, and the "reverse" side on the left.
The pattern includes both charted and written instructions for the reversible cable, as well as a Technique Feature with a photo-illustrated tutorial on turning cables without a cable needle.
