Very nice vintage melmac mixing bowl from Texas Ware of Dallas, Texas, by Plastics Manufacturing Company, or PMC.
Long before Rachel Ray was a millionaire cooking show host, these bowls were originally made out of the bits and pieces of colored plastic left over from other manufacturing runs. They became some of the most sought-after items as time passed, understandably, as they are one-of-a-kind originals, each one different and with all sorts of interesting swirls and combinations of colors!
This bowl is the large mixing bowl, #118, and the background color is a very light turquoise with flecks of many colors running through it. Was left on a hot stove at some point and has some burn marks on the base, please check the photos. No chips or cracks.
Bowl measures 10" in diameter, and 4 1/2" tall. So many uses in the kitchen, start your collection today!
