This is an over sized pendant from the Kuchi tribe of Afghanistan. This would most likely have been worn for weddings and other celebrations. These are great for anyone who wants a statement necklace or it could also be used in craft projects, hang it from your waist to adorn a skirt, hang it on the wall or adorn a lamp shade. The possible uses are limited only by ones imagination. I have even had customers purchase this type of pendant for their show horses.
This pendant is fabricated from a yellow metal of unknown alloy (most likely brass) and is embellished with glass cabochons and dangle charms. There is an ornate metal framework which adds artistic detail.
Please note this is a vintage item that has undergone both time and nomadic travels. It is in remarkably good condition for an item of this sort and age. A definite patina is present.

Many of the things you will find in my shop are vintage, ethnic items. Please keep in mind that these are often made by primitive people under primitive circumstances and are rarely what we would consider to be perfect. There may be mismatched jewels, a definite patina and often there are irregularities in the metal. This is common and should be expected with this type of jewelry. I leave the patina in place for those who prefer an aged appearance. Most items can be polished with a mild jewelry cleaner if that is your preference.
