A rare original Bestway leaflet 1185 thought to be from the 1930's / 1940's for knitted and crocheted house shoes and slippers. There are 3 patterns the first made "using rug wool or if this is scarce in your neighbourhood DK wool can be used double!" The pattern states "NB: worked for a larger foot , these slippers are greatly appreciated by men in prisoner- of war camps". 2nd pattern is for knitted house shoes - use up oddments of wool for the rainbow stripes. 3rd pattern is for crochet slippers - they can be made to fit any size from these instructions.
A fascinating bit of social history within this pattern and so will appeal to anyone with a ww2 interest as well as knitters and crocheters.
Price is for Royal Mail signed for second class postage and International Tracked and Signed. Happy to combine postage if required via a refund after purchase.
