If you've ever taken an advanced science class, you've probably heard the joke about the farmer with the unproductive cows, which ends with the punchline seen here. The joke is also a cautionary tale about simplifying a problem to the point where any solutions you reach are inapplicable to the real world.
Any scientist would love to have this stitch on their desk, but it could serve as a healthy reminder to any of us that things are not always as simple in reality as they seem on paper.
The piece is shown stitched on 14ct baby blue aida, and framed in a 3x4" frame.
Stitches used: X stitch, 1/4 stitch, 3/4 stitch, backstitch, french knots Difficulty: easy
The pattern is in PDF format, with both colors and symbols for easy stitching. Color references are in DMC six-strand cotton embroidery floss. Also included is a high-res scan of a completed piece for reference.
Super cute! - First time doing a french knot and back stitching, but I think it came out okay.
