Source: This pattern is based on an original thirteenth century French medieval manuscript illumination, the Li livres dou santé, late 13th century. For fun, look up the "war" between the Bishop and the town of Wroclaw, Poland, that took place in 1380 -- over the right to brew and sell beer. This image shows a monk tasting beer.

The purchase of this tutorial entitles you to make bracelets for either personal use or for sale. NO MASS PRODUCTIONS ALLOWED. You may sell online, but please give credit to the Uppity Beader and, preferably, to the original manuscript for the pattern. In making this pattern I have remained as true to the colors in the original manuscript image as possible while retaining clarity. If you do change the colors in the pattern, I would love to see your finished work.

Please do not publish or resell the pattern, or copy it in any way.

Any questions, please feel free to contact me. Enjoy working this pattern!
