Shipping costs provided do include tracking and insurance coverage. **With the exception of our Standard International shipping rate**. Tracking for International orders is offered as a shipping upgrade. We carefully pack each item to avoid damage, however we cannot be responsible in the event of loss or damage during shipping. We will issue refunds in the event of an approved claim by the shipping carrier. If you select an international shipping method that does not include tracking and insurance we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.

Yes we do! Please note that to keep the cost of international shipping down our Standard International Shipping option (by land) and the upgrade by air DO NOT include tracking and insurance. If you want these options please be sure to select the International shipping upgrade that INCLUDES tracking and insurance at check out.

We try to ship items out as quickly as possible. If your order is shipping within Canada or to the US then you will receive your item/s within 2 to 7 business days. International customers will receive their item/s within 1 to 8 weeks depending on the chosen shipping option and your location. These times are estimates and can take longer due to weather and events that are out of our control.

We ensure that your purchase is carefully packaged prior to mailing. The Vintage Habitat cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur while the package is in transit. Please keep all packaging and the item. We will issue a refund when the claim is approved by the shipping carrier and we have received the item back from you in the original packaging. We want you to be happy and will work with you to fix the problem.

All items in this shop are vintage and therefore have some general wear. All items have been gently cleaned and stored in a clean, smoke and pet free environment. We only clean enough to remove any loose particles and believe that the beauty of these items comes from the patina that is earned from years of use. We take detailed photos and note all flaws. Please read descriptions carefully prior to purchase and don’t hesitate to send us an Etsy message if you have questions. We are happy to answer additional questions and send more photos if needed.
