Organically grown seeds from my garden to yours. A medicinal herb native to northern China and across eastern Europe. Also known as Dragon's Head, Turkish Melissa, Chinese Blue Hyssop and a host of other names. The purplish blue flowers are very beloved by bees and look right at home in a cottage or pollinator garden. The interesting rich green leaves have a very resinous lemon scent and flavour. It is used for cooking with fish and as an alternative to lemon balm. Like Lemon Balm it makes a very good tea for relaxing, and helping with anxiety and insomnia. Moldavian Balm grows into a neat mound about a foot around, and the relatively large flowers will grow up another foot above the plant. Grows best in cooler conditions, plant in part shade in very hot climates. Will likely self seed, although not aggressively.
