Zircon seems to be one of those stones that's name lets it down, I think many confuse it with man made cubic zirconium(CZ) and write it off. It is cheap now but I think it is a stone for the future with it's variety of colours, it's high refractive index and its hardness, it popularity and value will increase.
All of my gems are natural, earth mined stones that I have faceted myself, and come with a money back guarantee if you are not entirely satisfied.
I am not a commercial cutter, and thus do not mass produce stones, but cut for the enjoyment of creating something beautiful, so I can spend a minimum of a couple hours on each stone. I have been faceting for almost 4 years and aim to produce the best quality cut and finish to each stone that I possibly can.
I do not cut for weight specifically, as many commercial cutting houses do, as weight is a prime contributor to price, and that most times at the expense of brilliance. Obviously I want as much weight out of the rough as possible, but not at the expence of brilliance, and most patterns I cut will be for the specific Refractive Index of each stone "species."
There is a informative video on youtube called: How gem cutting influences value. Well worth a watch.
The photos are taken with an iphone in natural light. I have looked at different screens and colours do vary slightly from screen to screen.
