I love purchasing white or cream colored sari silk strip yarns and then dyeing them. The yarn is primarily silk but there may be some polyester or other fabrics/fibers mixed in. It's made of saris that have been torn into strips then tied or sewn into longer yarn. It's SO textured ad wonderful! I dyed this with indigo, a natural plant dye. Gorgeous variegated soft blues.
50 yards; single ply bulky weight.
Often these yarns are completely one of a kind, but occasionally I might have doubles, or may be able to custom-spin larger amounts if you need. Please convo me if you have any questions or requests.
These yarns are spun in my home; I do my absolute best to keep my felines and housebunny out of the fiber, but please do be aware that these yarns are created in an pet-friendly home. After they are spun, tagged, photographed and listed on etsy, they "live" in my herb shop until they are sold, so they DO smell pleasantly of herbs - most people find this pleasant but if you think this might be objectionable, you have been warned :) .
SHIPPING! I did my best to make shipping affordable, and put in the weight and dimensions for every listing so etsy can calculate the best shipping rate for you - but the problem is, it doesn't work well. :/ The shipping seems to be accurate for one or two skeins, but more than that and it can be high. I will also refund you if there are shipping overcharges! So do not fret. Feel free to convo me if you need more exact information before you purchase, but I WILL always check and refund you any excess if needed.
