Black and white Marimekko cotton sateen fabric. The name of the print is Katala, it has recently been used to make a dress called Ovela and has been sold as fabric in the seventies when it was first in print. Japanese designer Katsuji Wakisaka.
Middle part polka dot, black and white with gray patches along the edges. White selvage.
Basic weight, good for dresses, shirts, bed pillow covers, quilting etc. Colors hold very well in all Mari fabrics. Best to use hot water to wash 130 degrees F, 60 C. At least the first few times.
