Here's a great piece from the heyday of home movies, an awesome display piece for a film buff or a nice basic working projector to fool around with. It's an Excel p-16 projector for 16mm films, probably made in the 1940's or thereabouts.
The lens looks good and the motor runs, but I didn't run any film through it. The 120 watt lamp still works, but the unit gets VERY HOT when the lamp is on. The good news is that it takes a standard-base light bulb, so you could replace it with lower wattage bulb and use it for a night light or accent light.
The projector comes with a nice 400 foot aluminum take-up reel, and is packed in the original cardboard box which is pretty beat-up, but has tons of character. Also included are the original instructions and registration card.
