Item details

I actually make this paper from (imported) tree bark, using traditional Japanese methods. It's incredibly strong, yet appears delicate.

Starting with the white inner bark of the Kozo tree, I cook the bark, rinse and clean the bark, then beat it to a pulp using large sticks!

This almost true white is the natural color of this fiber imported from Japan.

Each sheet was made using a su-geta, then pressed and dried in the sun.

Listing is for 4 sheets, each 12 inches x 17 inches - rolled up and tied with a ribbon.

Kozo makes an elegant gift wrap paper, end papers for hand bound books, printmaking paper, drawing paper.

(A wonderful present for an artist,or scrapbooker, or bookbinder!)
