Item details

Mookaite is named for Mooka Creek, located in the Kennedy Ranges of Western Australia. The name "Mooka" is the Aboriginal name for "running waters". Mookaite is a jasper and is described as chert, opalite, chalcedony or a combination of the three. Mookaite was formed from microscopic protozoa, named radiolarian. Mookaite can vary in color, mostly from deep rust red, yellow and beige. You can turn over a mookaite stone and have entirely different colors on the other side.

These stones are a good size, approximately 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" long to 1" to 1 1/4" wide and again as deep. You can see the sizes in the last photo. You get one stone per listing.

Mookaite devotes itself to the solar plexus chakra, which governs personal power and allows access to ancestral information. Positive words for this stone are: Grounding, Intuition, Energy and Strength.
