This is an antique caliper probably manufactured between 1910-1920, although I am guesstimating its age. The caliper measures 9 3/4 inches from top to bottom and adjusts easily from having the tips completely closed to having the tips at least 12 1/2 inches apart. A working screw tightens/loosens onto the slider arm to keep a desired measurement secure.
The caliper is in excellent condition for its age and weighs 8 ounces. It attracts a magnet and is most likely made of steel. The caliper has S G engraved on both sides of its slider arm and also has S S engraved on its stationary leg.
This caliper would make a great addition to an antique tool collection.
Unless otherwise noted, I will ship via USPS within two days after receiving payment. Items include tracking and insurance in the shipping price. For items weighing more than 13 ounces, I try to use USPS flat rate boxes. If the posted shipping charge is more than $2.00 above the actual shipping charge, I will refund the price difference to you.
If you live in Phoenix, AZ, you can save the shipping charges by arranging for local pickup.
I try to be environmentally friendly and use a mix of new and used boxes as well as shipping materials. Please recycle the boxes and packing materials.
I currently accept both PayPal and Etsy Direct for payment.
