Haraella retrocalla is unique orchid species from Taiwan. The whole plant is 2 inches wide at maturity with a blooming flower spike. The bloom is yellow with purple accents. In its natural environment, this plant emits a citrusy fragrance to attract beetles for pollination. Your orchid will grow healthy and bloom repeatedly due to the nutritional medium it lives in. The blooming plant thrives in gel. With our special recipe medium, you will be able to watch your miniature orchid grow in a contained glass bottle 100% maintenance free for months or up to a year! And it gets better! At any point, you can also transplant your plant into a pot.

The terrarium is a sealed and sterile environment. Taking off the heat seal or lid will result in introducing contamination to the gel, eventually killing the plant. DO NOT remove the lid unless you are ready to transplant!

You cannot open the lid to feed the plants. The gel contains all the necessary nutrition to support the plants.

The plants are living in a sterile, sealed, self-sustaining environment. All the nutrition for the plant exists in the gel.

No watering, feeding, or supplementing with grow lights/sunlight is needed. Actually direct light sources are harmful to the flower terrariums. The carnivorous plants can be supplemented with light, but it must be a low heat emitting grow light (LED or CFL) at least 12" away.

Anywhere from 6-12 months. Some customers have had the orchid terrariums last 2 years!

The miniature orchids are at full size and will not grow any further. The carnivorous plants will outgrow the container in 6-12 months time, then you can transplant it via instructions at our website https://www.bloomifytech.com.
