Item details

The patents for these two awesome "Stik" mechanical lead pencils were sought in September 1949 and approved in May 1950. You can use one end of these pencils to dial your rotary dial telephone. They are magnetized so they don't roll away.

These pencils are in very good vintage condition and they still magnetize very well.

They were once very popular among secretaries as the pencils were used to dial telephone numbers, thus protecting fingernails.

The black pencil has a gold plated tip and dialer. You can find an eraser by lifting the rotary dialer out. This pencil is 5" long and .25" thick.

The green mechanical pencil has a gold plated tip and dialer. This pencil is 4" long and .25" thick.

These pencils do not have lead in them but leads can be purchased online or at your local retailer.

The pencils were made in the USA and are marked "STIK" patent number 2508075.

If a returned item is received in damaged condition from the buyer or from the shipping process, the return will not be processed. The item must be returned in the condition it was originally received. Insurance is required for returns to cover damage that may be caused by the postal service. Using USPS Priority Mail will cover both of those requirements.

I describe every item in as much detail as I can, including blemishes, chips, dings, dents and measurements. I will also try to capture any imperfections in my photographs. I use a digital camera and a light box to photograph most of the items in my shop. Please note that colors may look slightly different on different computer screens, so I can't be responsible if the color of the product isn't completely identical to the pictures. Because all of my items are more than 20 years old, please expect vintage condition. If items are in mint condition, I will say so in the description. I always describe my items accurately and honestly.

You must submit to me photos of the damage to enable me to file a domestic claim. Send the photos to me via the Etsy Convo platform. I need clear photos of the damaged box, packaging and contents. If you discard these items, the USPS may deny the claim and you will not receive a refund.
