Item details

This listing is for a grab bag containing the exact pieces shown in the photos.
We have many stock pieces available and ready to ship for small wood crafting, such as resin casting, jewelry crafts, turnings, whittling, or inlays. Our inventory contains a mix of Maple, Cherry, Walnut, Box Elder, Peach, Apple, Mulberry, Elm, Ash, Black Cherry, Chokecherry, Denim Pine, and an occasional exotic mix-in from various personal projects. All local species were personally felled and milled here in Southern Wisconsin, and aged/thoroughly dried in our personal humidity-controlled seasoning chamber.
Many pieces are live-edge, spalted, crotch cuts, figured, worm-holed/tunneled, or contain burl figure. There are also turning blank shorts and laminate-thin pieces in the mix. Please carefully examine the photos for the exact pieces included in this package.
Lot will ship Priority insured, U.S. only.

FAQs

All of our photos for our wood listings are completely unaltered (except for minor cropping), and are taken outside in sunlight for the most accurate color representation. Natural sunlight offers the most natural and realistic color spectrum. LED, fluorescent, and incandescent lighting all have different "color temperatures" that will impact the perceived color of a piece. Some of the photos show the wood misted with denatured alcohol, while others show the wood completely dry. This allows the customer to get an idea of how the piece will appear once a finish of choice has been applied, showing the wood's "finished color potential".
