***Shipping included in the price, to a commercial address or a Fastenal terminal in the lower 48 states. If you need it shipped to a residential address, or Hawaii/Alaska, just send me your zipcode and I'll calculate a surcharge that should not be too much more. Local pickup is also fine, in which case I would discount the price.***
For sale, an excellent and ornate French double horn anvil, datestamped 1833. Weighing approx 126 lbs it is a forged anvil with double horns, thick waist, and French style hardy hole. It was forgewelded out of at least 6 pieces and still has great rebound and good face/edges, which is remarkable for a nearly 200 year old anvil, but what really puts it over the top is the chisel decoration on the side. Has a date stamp of 1833 and initials, as well as a “wheat” pattern decoration and faux church windows. Definitely a one of a kind museum quality anvil, but also a valuable tool ready to be forged on.
Please don't hesitate to ask further questions, or request more photos.
I do have several more anvils for sale, please check out my Etsy store to see them, and follow my store to be among the first to see new anvils & vintage tools as I list them.
