Item details

Vintage French corozo buttons on original cards and unused. The colour of both sizes is the same: green black mottled.
In excellent condition they will date to around the 1940’s.

There are 47 of the 1.5cms diameter buttons on 3 cards, one card being complete the other two partly used. The larger buttons at 2.5cms in diameter are on an unused card and there are 12 buttons.

All of the buttons are four holes.

Just a bit about Postage costs - we will go out of our way to save money on Postage whenever possible.

I am constantly asked if the shipping costs are correct and sadly, they always are. For anyone wanting to check the cost of shipping internationally from France, you can find the costs on the La Poste website. Just google: La Poste Tarifs International. I charge you exactly what La Poste charges me and in fact less as on most occasions I always pay the additional insurance required.


We use the following postal methods:

Paquet Prio, for items up to 2kgs in weight and up to €150 in value. Delivery Estimate 7 to 21 days depending on location. With this method I have to print the labels for the parcels, which is generally not a problem but if for any reason I have no internet access, or a problem with the printer, PLEASE understand that it may delay the shipment. If this delay causes you a problem, you can upgrade to Colissimo International for the required additional payment. There is no benefit to customers within Europe above the weight limit of 250 grams, where Colissimo still offers the best option. The cost of shipping via the Paquet prio method will have a slightly higher cost than the price on the package as I have to purchase the labels and take time to print them.


Colissimo International is a generally fast and effective method of shipping items world wide. It has a weight limit of 30 kgs for Europe and 20kgs for the rest of the world. There is a limit to the value of insurance allowed with this method, so that may sometimes have an effect on the amount of items that can be combined together. However, in general this will not affect normal sales. Delivery times for this method are approximately 5 to 10 days but will differ depending on the world location.

Unfortunately, we will no longer use any postal service that does not offer signed for receipt on purchases.

Please never ask us to put fraudulent information onto customs forms, this is against the law and we will always refuse to do this.

All items will be posted within 3 days of payment but in most cases we post the next day.

Will all AUSTRALIAN customers please note that due to strict Australian import regulations for wood or bamboo items, we request that the customer ensures that the item will be accepted into the country prior to purchase. It is the customers responsibility to ensure this prior to purchasing.

We believe passionately in recycling and use a lot of recycled packaging for shipments. A lot of our cardboard cartons are generously donated by local shops. We take extreme care to ensure that it is clean and secure before using this packaging. Rest assured that we take the utmost care with packaging your purchases.

Please be aware of the charges which may be levied by your country’s customs, as these charges are always the responsibility of the customer.


Payments

We accept Paypal, Direct Checkout via Credit Card, and Etsy Gift Certificates. Additionally, for USA, Australia and Euro customers, we can now offer bank transfer with our borderless bank account. For further details please contact us prior to purchase.

If you prefer to pay by check, you may do so via electronic echeck through Paypal. However, please be aware that Paypal echecks take a number of days to clear and we will only ship when Paypal advises that the payment has cleared.

If you are a French resident, we will accept a French euro cheque. Occasionally, we have accepted bank transfers from within the Eurozone. For these methods of payment, you will need to request that we set up an "other" form of payment temporarily for you to make your purchase. The "other" method will be closed again once the purchase is made. Anyone using the "other" method when it has been set up for a specific customer, will have their order cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.

Please understand that the cost of international transfers are prohibitively expensive and we cannot accept them, unless from the USA, Australia or the Euro Zone.

Please ensure that your shipping address is correct. We will only send to the address given on your Paypal payment or the address given by Etsy, if you pay by Direct Check Out. Please ensure that if you wish to use a delivery address, different to that on your Paypal or Etsy account, that you change the address prior to making payment. - Thank you.

ETSY LAYAWAY

We offer a layaway service for anyone who wants to purchase an item that is over the value of €100.00.

The plan will be in 3 instalments and will include the shipping costs and charges as outlined below. Payments must always be made via PayPal, or for a French Resident with a Euro bank account, they can be made by cheque. If the payment is made by cheque the payment will need to clear prior to shipping.

We then ask that you reply to agree to our terms, as set out below:

If you agree…..

In order for you to purchase the item, we need to add “Other Method” of Payment to our Etsy shop. We can only leave this option open for a short time as we are unable to accept other methods of payment for items purchased internationally, due to exorbitant exchange rate fees.

Once the item is purchased on Etsy but not paid for, we will create a PayPal invoice for the amount to equate to the 1st payment. It is part of the agreement that this payment is made immediately and we will then raise the second and third PayPal invoice, these invoices will be forward dated for payment, 30 days in advance of the previous payment. Payment is due within 24 hours of invoice date. The payments will be 3 equal payments to include shipping; the final payment will also include the additional fees as mentioned below.

The shipping charge will be added to the cost of the item and will be paid as part of the instalments.

The item will be shipped on the next working day immediately after the final payment, unless as previously mentioned, payment is by euro cheque and then the cheque must clear before shipping the item.

The final payment will also include a small administrative fee for using this method. The fee is €5.00.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE FOLLOWING:
Should you change your mind about purchasing the item before making your second payment, we will refund your first payment (including the portion of the shipping cost you paid with your first payment) less 25% of the original price. This is to account for removing the item from stock specifically for you, and as a consequence, making it unavailable for sale during this period.

After receiving your second payment, it will be considered that you are fully committed to purchasing the item. So at this stage if you should then change your mind, we will refund the total so far paid less, 50% of the original price of the item. Please ensure that you understand, that by agreeing to our Layaway plan that you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.



Payment Plan

Our Layaway payment plan is for any item over €100 in price.
Items will be paid for in 3 instalments.
The 1st payment will be made immediately the Layaway plan is agreed by the purchaser.
The 2nd payment is due within 30 days of the 1st payment.
The 3rd payment is due within 30 days of the 2nd payment.
If a problem arises in the duration of the payment schedule, we ask that a customer communicates with us immediately.
We want this plan to work for both parties and hope that it will give customers the opportunity to purchase higher priced items over a period of 3 months if they so wish. If customers wish to shorten the payment period, please just let us know.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)

  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
We hope that you will be delighted with your purchase but if for any reason you are not, then please return the item in its described state within 14 days of your receipt. The return postage is the responsibility of the purchaser. If the item is returned it must be insured up to its value and this is a condition of the return. Please always make contact before returning an item.

We take the greatest care in describing items and in packing items for despatch. In the event that you do receive an item that you believe has been damaged in transit, or is faulty and not as described; please contacts us immediately and within 24 hours of receipt of the item.

Please clearly state the nature of the damage or the fault and provide photographs of the damaged area.

All items returned by you are at your own risk, therefore we advise you to check that the item is properly addressed and adequately packaged. We also strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage and using a traceable and secure method of dispatch when returning goods, as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit or damaged by poor packaging.

Once the item is returned it will be checked by us and if it is found to be faulty or damaged as described by you, we will issue you with a full refund. We will need clear documentation that relates to your costs in returning the item, in order to refund your return postage. Refunds will be issued within 14 days via the same method of payment.

If the returned item is not found to be faulty or damaged after it is checked, we will refund the item price only and no return shipping costs will be refunded. Items damaged by the customer will not be refunded.

For parcels that go missing in the post - please always inform us if you have not received your parcel after 20 working days for methods except Colissimo. For Colissimo, please contact us after 10 days. We will then instigate a claim. That will either have the effect of getting the parcel delivered, or of reimbursing the client if it is lost. Please bear with us, while we start the claim to search for your parcel.

Please do not sign for and accept obviously damaged parcels, without clearly marking on the receipt that they were received damaged in transit.

Additional policies

I always try to respond to a customer communication within 24 hours. On some occasions due to being out buying, or various other reasons, this may not be possible and I will then endeavour to respond as soon as possible. Please also bear in mind that I am on the Paris timeline and there can be delays due to the time differences across the world.
