This is a classic 1860s victorian beaded style frame. It is made of folded sheet brass. It has a great patena, and looks fantastic with a picture inside. The frame has a simple stand made of a brass rod on a hinge, this is very typical of the time. The frame does not have any glass and is meant to be open faced. The frame holds a 4 x 6 photograph. These would of held cabinet cards at the time, these "cheaper" style frames were sold in the photograph studio. Would of been purchased by a middle class person, as it is not very intricate but still has some design. Great item for anyone who wants a nice peroid cabinet card frame.
This listing is for the frame only, the photograph is for display purposes only and is not included.
