FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS....Kindly read these before emailing me! Thanks!
*************************************************************

Q. HOW DO I GET AN ACTUAL SWEATER MADE BY YOU?
A. I still sell tons of sweaters every month. See my shop announcement or facebook for the date of my next sale.

My sales are all first come, first serve. No reserves or custom orders. I make all sizes, from XS to XXXL, in every imaginable color combination, so there will be lots to choose from.

You can “like” Katwise on Facebook to get a sneak peek at the upcoming sweaters. https://www.facebook.com/sweaterkat
Please add my shop to your etsy Favorites so you can come back and visit. Many other shops started using my name to attract customers, but I am the only official Katwise, so don't get confused. :-)

Q.WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALL YOUR TUTORIALS?
A. Despite the many different photos, I sell just three types of tutorials. You can tell them apart by the price. This listing is for my classic long Elf Coat Guide.

You can get my Hoodie Guide here: https://www.etsystudio.com/listing/75596038/katwise-hoodie-guide-tutorial-ebook-make?

You can get my Arm Warmer Guide here: https://www.etsystudio.com/listing/88143111/arm-warmer-tutorial-diy-guide

You can get all three of my tutorials together for a 20% discount here:
https://www.etsystudio.com/listing/102053333/all-3-katwise-ebooks-the-complete?

Q.WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TUTORIAL?:
A.I worked hard to make Sweater guide really bright and fun. This ebook includes 72 pages of color photos, diagrams, anecdotes and sweater secrets. I have tried to make it engaging and inexpensive enough that, even if you are not sure you can sew, you still might enjoy the read.

**THIS IS NOT A FORMAL PATTERN WITH PRECISE MEASUREMENTS. Patterns will not work well with one of a kind, upcycled garments. (*trust me!*) This is a picturesque journey through making a sweater which will give you the techniques you need to make one in the size and style that suits your spirit.

In addition to the beautifully detailed PDF, anyone who purchases this is invited to participate in an online discussion, where there are friendly folks ready to any questions you have along the way. Free tech support from me and your fellow sweater artists!

Q.WHAT MATERIALS DO I NEED?:
A. *A serger
*4 Spools overlock thread
*Approx 20 Sweaters (Choosing the right sweaters is an art unto itself, and I will walk you through this process)
*Sense of humor

Q. WHAT IF I DO NOT HAVE A SERGER?
A. Although sergers make this a much easier project, you can still make it with a zig zag stitch or sew by hand.

Q. IS THIS SUITABLE FOR A BEGINNER?
A. Learning to sew with sweaters has a lot of tricks (which I try to share!). This project is best suited for people who have experience sewing with a serger, but beginners are encouraged to follow their bliss and give it a try too! I have been impressed by the lovely creations folks have made!
Have a look at my feedback for all the sweet things people have been saying about the tutorial. It warms my heart! If you look on my facebook page, you can see dozens of photos of creations that others have made with my tutorials:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151854421261532.1073741859.320233446531&type=3

Q. CAN I USE THIS PATTERN FOR PLUS SIZED/CHILD SIZE/MENS SWEATER?
A. Yes! With a little cleverness this pattern can be easily adapted to all sizes. The sky is the limit!

Q.IS THIS AN ACTUAL BOOK? CAN I PRINT IT?
A.This is an ebook download, so you will not be getting anything in your mailbox. It is many colorful pages, so it might be a bit expensive to print out, but you are welcome to do so. You might want to try printing it greyscale to save a small fortune in ink.

Q. DO YOU MIND IF I SELL THE SWEATERS I MAKE WITH THIS PATTERN?
A.People who purchase this pattern have my blessing to sell this design in small quantities. I just ask that you give my shop a shout out in your listing, and be kind.

I have shipped my sweaters to every continent (even Antarctica!) I am sorry! If you really want a tracking number/insurance you will have to pay quite a bit extra.

More than anything i just want you to be happy. If something fits you wonky, or just isn't what you dreamed, I will accept a return and refund you (less S&H) within ONE WEEK of you receiving it. I do not do exchanges, refunds only.

All returns must be approved by me beforehand.

If you put your sweater in the washing machine/dryer - it is NOT returnable.

Additional policies

I get SO many emails that it takes me hours a day to answer them all, and I barely have time to sew. Have mercy on my wrists, and please read this before you send me questions. Thanks!!!

Q: Do you do custom orders?
A: No Custom Orders....sorry! *Please* don't ask me! It is hard saying no to so many nice people.

Q: How do I reserve a coat?
A: My shop is first come first serve. I will not reserve anything ahead of time. Every couple of weeks I post a big collection of coats in every shape and color combination. There is no waiting list - you just have to show up at the exact time and buy it. They tend to sell out in just a few minutes. You can see preview photos before each sale on my facebook page - www.katwise.com/facebook

Q:When is your next posting?
A: If you read my shop announcement or any listing, it will be mentioned at the very top.

Q:Do you do layaway?
A:Layaway got SOOOOO out of control that I am taking a break from it right now. Save your pennies, and your perfect coat will come along when you are ready. :-)

Q: Do you make plus sizes/childrens sizes/wool free/men's items etc.....?
A: I make all of the above except for children's coats. If you look at my albums on facebook you can see examples of the variety of things I offer. www.katwise.facebook.com

Q:How do I care for my sweater?
A: To be safe all items should be hand washed cold and dried flat. You can take a risk and throw it in the washer (I do) but there is always a possibility that wool will keep shrinking, so if you want to be 100% safe, hand wash! I will not be responsible for mishaps that occur in your washing machine.

Occasionally little threads work their way loose. Most of the time these can be pulled and snipped without consequence. If it looks like the sweater itself is getting frayed (a very rare but possible consequence of absolutely any sweater creation) you should remember the old saying: "a stitch in time saves nine".....

Q:Is that your crazy house in the pictures?
A:Yes! I call it "The House that Sweaters Built"...cuz y'all on Etsy helped me buy it!

Q:Will you marry me?
A: Maybe. :-)
