This listing is for 2.2 oz of 100 % Angora. Mr. Leroy is a French Angora. The staple is 3-5". The Fiber was Cut 5/17.
I just don't have time to spin all this wonderful fiber. I have a lot of beautiful Angoras though. They are feed a very healthy feed, as well as garden treats and bananas.
The wool is carefully kept up and proceeded by blowing the coat at least once a week. This lot is prime fiber, just the top section, not leg or underneath added, ever. Combing was used for separating to shear, or around the face and legs because they start to mat in when the coat gets this long. Angoras do not like to keep their coats more than 4 months. They actually love to be groomed and get that long hair off!! My rabbits are kept in my climate controlled garage, in a smoke free environment.
After spinning you will want to gently wash and air dry your yarn. My rabbits are very clean and any dirty fiber is skirted away. Since they do love their hay you might have a small amount of it. I find it is better to remove it while spinning so I don't waste any of the precious fiber. You can blend this is Merino, Alpaca, and Mohair and still get the halo that angora is known for. 100% angora is usually to hot for most people to wear unless you are in a very cold climate. I'm sensitive to sheep's wool, so I mix my fiber with Mohair and Alpaca. The brown batts is brown Alpaca and red Angora.
This price is for 2.2 Oz of fiber only. If you want more from another posting or rabbit let me know.
If you would like me to run it through my drum carder you will see a separate drop down price for that. I will carefully run it through my electric drum carder at a low speed, twice.
