The colors in these skeins range from bright to muted greens, then slide into taupe and grey. The blend of alpaca and silk draws the dye in strange and beautiful patterns, causing mysterious shifts between the shades, defying me to categorize it any more than this.
•80% superfine alpaca, 20% silk •287 yards (262 meters) per 100 grams •6-7 stitches per inch on US 3-5/3.25-3.75 mm •$34 per 100g skein
I use professional acid dyes that are fully exhausted in the dye bath. This ensures that no color goes down the drain to harm the plumbing or environment. Dye batches are small, usually 5-6 skeins, with each skein being akin to the others, but truly one-of-a-kind. For this reason I suggest that you purchase enough yarn to complete your project, as colorways are not currently repeated. I further suggest that you alternate skeins in a project in order to blend and nuance the different shades in each skein. Hand washing all fine luxury yarns is highly recommended for the longevity of each project. Lastly, although I have done my best to offer color accurate photos, please keep in mind that every monitor displays color differently.
