This is a PDF KNITTING PATTERN for a newborn bonnet made with sports weight wool or acrylic yarn (or mohair blend yarn).
It is perfect for an intermediate level knitter, as you need to know how to work out the short rows for forming the ears and the back of the bonnet. In this particular pattern the ears are knitted together with the main body of the bonnet and not attached afterwards. Basic knowledge of the crochet is an advantage as the ears have their contours finished with the basic crochet line.
This uses basic knitting stitches with detailed photos to help you to make your own bonnet. The bonnet is knitted on straight size 6 (4 mm) needles. You will not need to use circular needles or double pointed needles. This listing is NOT for the finished bonnet. It is written in standard American terms with colorful photos to help with some of the important parts. Sizing: The pattern is for NEWBORN size only.
Difficulty: Intermediate. Materials required: Medium weight yarn about 1 oz (25-30gr). Size 6 (4 mm) knitting needles, Suitable medium size crochet hook. The ties on my picture were made of the same yarn and attached with a medium size crochet hook.
Delivery of pattern: This pattern is in the form of a digital PDF file which will be available for download after payment is received. The pattern for a simple knitted Teddy is not included, but can be purchased from my shop separately.
You cannot resell or share the pattern as it is illegal. You may however sell your finished products, but I would appreciate credit and link back to my Etsy store www.feltsoapgood.esty.com.

I sincerrly.enjoyed working up this fast pattern. I did alter the ears to be a touch large but this method is so lovely and fast. Would like to see how many yards are needed for the pattern included in the future. Thank you!

Love this pattern! Easy to follow instructions and helpful photos. I purchased it because the finishing method was super interesting to me, and it might just be one of my favorite things now!
