Calling all texture lovers! Finally! A class centered around modern textural techniques to take your tapestries from bleh to bold!
I am so excited to share my favorite techniques for all types of texture. From thick clouds of roving, to rows of curled rope, layers of knots, wrapped borders, hanging scallops, even pom poms and sequins. Everything I've included will elevate your tapestry compositions through layers of texture that you will want to sink your hands into. I've also included a list of my favorite textural fiber materials, along with their sources, plus a small video introduction explaining why I love them for weaving! As I am teaching, you will notice the materials being used in different ways and be able to order the exact same products that I am weaving with!
Each technique comes from dozens of messages from students asking for specific methods.

Q: Do you need to complete my first ecourse to start this one??
A: There are a few techniques that I will assume you know or recall, (whether from my course or somewhere else), such as twining, tucking the ends, weaver's knot, tabby, rya, soumak, hem stitch, weaving shapes, why I weave upside down, and overhand knots. However, the techniques are explained well enough that beginners can follow along. As always, you can pause, rewind and rewatch as many times as you need.
If you feel like you need to brush up on any of those skills please see my first ecourse, Welcome to Weaving HERE: https://www.etsystudio.com/listing/487754199/ebook-and-video-course-welcome-to
