Ernestine is a hardworking sock yarn. It is an 80% superwash Mirena and 20% nylon, 2-ply firmly twisted yarn. Your socks will be soft but will wear well. The fabric created will have good stitch definition. Ernestine can also be used for garments such as shawls, cowls and children's clothing.
Sock Weight 400 yards/ 100 gms Gauge: 6-8 sti/in Needles: 1-3 US/ 2.25-3.25 mm May be machine washed and dried. To extend the life of your socks, lying flat to dry is recommended.
Yarns are dyed in small batches with professional acid dyes that are colorfast and washfast. My colorways are inspired by colors found in the garden and in nature.
I have done my best to get an accurate photo of the color, but monitors vary and the color may be slightly different in real life.
The listing is for the yarn pictured and is ready to ship. If more than one yarn is listed, they were all dyed in the same dye pot. Even in the same dye pot, hand dyed yarns have slight variations.
