Chingona is a Spanish word that is most dear to me; the term can either offend you or cause you to wear it like a badge on your sleeve, heart, mind, and soul. For me, Chingona exemplifies what a strong woman is; someone who doesn't back down when questioned, a woman who fights for a good cause, fights for what she believes in, is a grassroots activist, mother, educator, artist, mentor, sister, friend....
I created these pins so that other Chingona's can wear them with pride; a subtle but poignant way to show who you are. As a mother of 2 daughters, I have always strived to show them that they can accomplish anything they desire if they put their minds to it. The sale of these pins will go toward helping me in my educational goals.
Thank you for your support!
