This is a lovely original 1970s dressmaking pattern – perfect for anyone who loves this era and would like to sew their own vintage outfit... What a lovely design!
At this time packaging design still relied on illustrators rather than photographers so we have these absolutely wonderful graphics to demonstrate the outfit that could be made from this pattern. Everything about the design and packaging is so evocative of the era - a little work of art!
This pattern is unused with original making up instructions. The packet is somewhat timeworn as you`d expect but the illustration remains clear.
This is Woman`s design W.R.314 in size 34" bust for a tunic or dress in two lengths.
Please note that dressmaking instructions during this era were basic rather than highly detailed - most women were experienced in making clothes and using patterns.
*My beloved vintage haberdashery supplies are not included*
On my monitor the colours are spot on but do remember that all monitors vary.
PLEASE NOTE that if you are not at home to accept a parcel then this is likely to result in delays and difficulties. Once I have dispatched an item it is largely out of my hands and, whilst I will do all that I can to assist you, I dispatch to the address provided in good faith and cannot accept responsibility if there is nobody there to accept delivery.
POSTAGE QUOTED IS USUALLY STANDARD AND UNTRACKED - I would always recommend an upgrade to tracked shipping although I will leave the choice to you but please remember that I cannot be responsible for untracked parcels which get lost although I`m happy to make a claim on your behalf – untracked Royal Mail standard shipping is only covered for £20. If no upgrade is available at the checkout then the service is already a tracked one.
Please do take time to view all of my pictures and read the description – if you need any more information then I`m here to help.
*Please note that no other items seen in my pictures are included*

I am always happy to combine shipping where practical and will refund any overpayment promptly.
If shipping to your country isn`t quoted then please do get in touch – I`m happy to post to you wherever you live.
Please don't forget that I sell unique vintage & antique pieces… There will almost certainly be some evocative signs of their previous history to be found. That is the nature - and the SHEER JOY - of such pieces. If pristine is your preference then my eclectic, characterful - and sometimes charmingly shabby - treasures simply won't be for you. Thank you for visiting my little shop – please do call in again soon!
Note that UK small parcels will be sent using Hermes tracked. If you are unlikely to be at home for delivery you may prefer Parcel Force or 1st/2nd class signed-for which I am happy to provide at actual cost. Hermes will attempt to deliver 3 times. Royal Mail will offer the facility to collect from your post office or depot; Hermes does not have this facility. PLEASE NOTE that if you are not at home to accept a parcel then this is likely to result in delays and difficulties. I aim to ship on the next working day following cleared payment. I`m happy to combine postage to save you money - any overpayment will be returned promptly.
Any international customs/duty fees are the buyer's responsibility.
I charge only the actual cost of shipping and try to use recycled boxes where possible - my way of saving a tree or two!
If you require a tracked service, please opt for this upgrade at the checkout; I personally would recommend this for peace of mind, but I am leaving the choice to you.
If shipping to your country isn't quoted then please do ask for a cost – I`m happy to post to you wherever you live.
You have the option to use PayPal, credit or debit cards via Direct Checkout and Etsy Gift Vouchers - whichever is the most convenient for you.
Please ask if you would like to reserve an item - I`m happy to offer a `layaway` service for up to a maximum of 4 weeks.
Returns & exchanges
My business is small but I aim for a flawless experience for my buyers and you can be assured of my dedication to providing the very best possible shopping experience. I always provide full and honest descriptions of condition, accompanied by clear photographs.
Note that refunds can only be made if items are materially different to their description - please make sure you check all of the pictures, read my description and ask any questions you wish before purchasing. I am human and, whilst I strive to achieve perfection, there is always the possibility of me making an inadvertent error - because I'm not a robot but merely a person who will always try my very best to give you a faultless service. Any agreed returns should be made within 14 days and must be in the same condition in which they were dispatched. Any refund (less original shipping cost) will be made once the item has been safely received.
Please remember that I sell only true vintage items which won`t have the bland perfection of new reproductions ~ this is the nature and joy of vintage treasures! The condition will be detailed carefully for you so that you always know what to expect. If you prefer pristine items then my items probably won`t be for you.
Any questions? Just ask away and I`ll get back to you as soon as possible.
