This is a pale pink, beautifully formed crystal of the mineral danburite. It is a natural crystal, and features a symmetrical orthorhombic termination. It has interior clarity that peeks through striations in the frosted, etched faces of the outer layer. The crystal features a lovely pale pink shade! (As an unpolished crystal, it has abrasions and a fracture on the termination--in my opinion, these natural features do not lessen its beauty.) This is a small sized, aesthetic specimen! This crystal would make a perfect mineral specimen and meditation aid--it would also be useful in crystal gridding, or jewelry supply.
Locality: Charcas, Mexico Dimensions: 2.00” x 1.00” x 0.88” (51mm x 26mm x 23mm) Weight: 36.0 g (1.3 oz)
Danburite is a mineral that is similar to topaz--it forms in the orthorhombic system, has a hardness of 7-7.5 on Moh's scale, and forms extremely clear, prismatic crystals. It may be colorless, yellow, or pale pink. It is named for Danbury, Connecticut, the locality in which it was discovered.
Healing Properties: Danburite is associated with the heart chakra--it is believed to relieve anxiety and promote self-love. Danburite is also believed to aid in emotional healing, and encourage serenity and peace in one's environment.
