85% Hampshire/Wensleydale X wool, from Raburn Farm in Thropton 15% angora, from Pavlova at Amaranth Angora in the Scottish Borders 100% British, 100% ethical 2ply 155m per 50g skein Semi-worsted machine spun in the Scottish Borders Limited edition
B13 Yarns use fibre from our English Angora rabbits, blended with specially selected fibre from the North of England and Scotland. Our rabbits are spoiled rotten, and their health and happiness always comes first in all aspects of fibre production. We clip their fur by hand every three months. Pavlova was one of our first rabbits, along with Flapjack. We didn't go to the breeder intending to buy more than one rabbit, but his gorgeous pink eyes won us over. In the time he's been with us he's proven to be a bit of an escape artist, and very quick on his feet!
This beautiful cream yarn is spun by The Border Mill in Duns, the Scottish Borders (where I happen to work, and can oversee my yarn's production and obsess over every detail!) in 2ply weight, making it perfect for shawls and light knits.
Note that this is a limited edition yarn, owing to the small size of the specially selected fleece. Once it's gone, it's gone!
