Item details

1000 Mailles Bonbonierres au Crochet is a special edition crochet book from the publisher Editions de Saxe, the same people who gave us Magic Crochet and Decorative Crochet years ago. 1000 Mailles is the French version of those magazines, and this was a special edition featuring small doilies that could be use to wrap bonbonierres, little candy "packages" that are given at special events such as baptisms, weddings, and communions. The ones in this book are made with size 40 thread (yikes!) so they are about 8 inch, but you can make them in your own choice of thread size so the finished size can be different. All instructions are in FRENCH, (no English) but every pattern is charted and should be easy to work if you are familiar with the charts in Magic Crochet and Decorative Crochet. There are a total of 23 patterns, in different shapes. A great collection of smaller doilies to enjoy crocheting.

This book was purchased directly from Leisure Arts and has been stored in my now-closed shop since then. I think LA probably purchased it for the French Canadian market, and I happened to find it in their inventory. I have at least 10 different ones and will be listing them all eventually.

I have many more books in my shop that aren't list on Etsy or in my online shop. Feel free to ask me if there is a title you may be hunting. You never can tell, I might have it!

There are no returns on books, because they can be copied before returning. I found this out in my shop years ago!

Postage to US addresses is $3.75 first class or $6.65 priority. I am more than happy to combine orders and discount postage. I also accept orders sent to foreign countries but check with me first for rates!

I use the USPS exclusively. Shipping costs shown are for postage; any other services such as insurance or delivery confirmation are extra. Uninsured orders are sent at the buyer's own risk; I make the insurance optional because most buyers do not want to pay $1.80 insurance on a $3.00 book! I try to mail packages no later than the next week day, and if I plan to be out of the shop for more than 2 days I will put a notice on the shop page.

Payments may be with Paypal, personal or bank check, or money order. International orders are welcome; Paypal is preferred for international order, but a check or money order ON A US BANK is allowed if pre-approved. Louisiana residents will pay 8.5% sales tax.

Returns & exchanges

Since books can be copied and then returned (I found this out in my shop years ago), I do not allow returns on books unless they are defective. Since I personally page through each book before I send it out, this has never happened! Other items such as supplies are handled on an individual basis.
