A beautiful beanie with fairisle owl and cat motifs, and shaped detail skullcap.
Made with aran weight wool on 4mm and 5mm circular needles.
One size, although you could make it a little larger using a heavier aran, or child-sized using worsted or dk.
You will need 100g of each colour, although you won't use it all, and will probably end up with enough to knit the hat again in reverse / relief, as in the picture above of the two hats together in creams, browns, oranges and pinks. You could also, as in the last pic of my darling boy, pop a pompom on it :)
For that particular pair of hats, I used: 1 ball of Debbie Bliss Falkland Aran in Camel (05) 1 ball of Lang Yarns Merino+ Color in colour 59 4mm circular needles 5mm circular needles a tapestry needle for sewing in ends.
This particular combination of yarns produced a very neat, fitted beanie.
The purple hat was knitted using Drops Nepal for the solid colour, and Drops Big Delight for the graduating colour, which produced a looser, chunkier hat.
Enjoy knitting <3
