Lovely slender hardwood vintage weaving shuttle pirns. These would have been mounted on flying shuttles for an industrial weaving mill in Lancashire. PRICE IS FOR ONE PIRN
I have clear waxed and polished each pirn
I estimate these are about 1940's. Although I can't verify that. As pics show, the name Heywood and Pilkington is stamped into the end of each pirn.
Measuring 9" length x just over 1" width at fat end x 1/2" at smallest end. The inside of each shaft is not large enough to thread rope through, so these would not make skipping rope handles, but string, thread or cord could pass through them so they would make good light pulls, or other upcycled projects.
They would be great for hanging small weavings or knittings on.
Any postage overpayment is refunded upon dispatch. I don't aim to make profit on postage.
